Summary

Only a quite number of experiments to day have comprehensively assessed children’s expertise of sexuality. In this research, we examined the amount of sexual information among the small children aged 3–6 years in Finland. We analysed children’s explanations of what they noticed in drawings linked to genital naming, conception and childbirth, security skills, and adult sexual action. Ranges of know-how were usually lower. The greatest quantity of correct responses have been specified for genital naming and safety abilities. Knowledge elevated with age. Children’s gender was not linked to their complete stage of knowledge. There was a correlation between children’s skill to name their genitals and their information of protection abilities.
