Based on my personalized encounter of residing with trauma, abuse, disability, and electric power dynamics, I decided to deliver a lot more voices that resonated with the factors that I desired to communicate about, as properly as nuanced ordeals which have been diverse from mine. What better than reclaiming the podcast space which is dominated by sexist adult men perpetuating cis heteropatriarchy? 

In 2021, we experienced Samarth, a valuable Dost at SLAP who inspired us to have a homegrown podcast and he/they deliver the exact same now, and Dost Gulal Salil aka Lal Poster whose political wisdom has influenced our do the job to a terrific extent and so the podcast with our initial collection conceptualized as “Pleasure, Power and Politics”. Till now, we have talked over the narratives of the male-woman gaze, media, trauma, fatness-fatphobia-fetishization, social media and area, intimacy and on the web relationship, neurodivergence, queerness, and perform less than this topic of “Pleasure, Electric power and Politics” with our impeccable visitors from Assam.

This podcast team also obtained by the Gender Bender Grant 2022 and presented a model-new series of Joy Adhere there which is nonetheless to be general public. 

We curated this podcast with a lot of love, curiosity, and intent to construct a young people’s archive of tales and lived ordeals from across Northeast India with our concentration on Assam. Above time, we will be discursively chatting about unique stigmas, themes, and narratives on enjoyment, wish, intimacy, menstruation, sexual intercourse, like, interactions, feelings, electricity, politics, religion, rituals, gender roles, and other allied areas of platforming NE India in the spotlight.
